纤云弄巧，飞星传恨，银汉迢迢暗渡。
金风玉露一相逢，便胜却人间无数。
The wispy clouds are artists of shapes,
the shooting stars, couriers of yearning thoughts.
Vast, vast is the galactic river for this pair to secretly cross.
Once they embrace, amid golden winds and jade-like dew,
countless worldly couples shall be outdone.

柔情似水，佳期如梦，忍顾鹊桥归路。
两情若是久长时，又岂在朝朝暮暮！
Tenderly their love echos,
dreamily this tryst arrives,
though none can stand the thought
of their return off the magpie bridge.
Yet so long as the amorous bond stays true,
why need we care even if they can’t meet day and night?
