MILAN - Inter Primavera's 19-year-old right-back Giulio Donati celebrated his first-team debut with victory over Livorno in the last sixteen of the Tim Cup. "I was excited when I was told of my call-up, and I couldn't believe it when I knew I might be among the 18 players on the pitch or on the bench," he told Inter Channel. "And then I set foot inside the Stadio Meazza and when you're there it's completely different. It was a great emotion."
Asked how he got on with the big boys, Donati replied: "I don't have words to describe the humility with which they receive players from the Primavera. It's like you're one of the family. My thanks go to the boss but I want to dedicate this debut to my family and to my Primavera team-mate Antonio Esposito who suffered an injury a few days ago."
