      Ph.D/Postdoc/Technician for Chemical Biology in HKU

We are seeking brilliant candidates of Ph.D students, postdoc and technicians
to join Prof. Yang Dan's chemical biology lab in Department of Chemistry,
the University of Hong Kong.

For Ph. D program, the applicants for fall 2012 should have a Bachelor’s
degree in biology, chemistry or other relevant areas before Aug, 2012. Also,
TOEFL score (over 80) is necessary.

For postdoc position, the applicant should have the Ph. D degree. For
technician, the applicant should have the bachelor or MS degree of relevant
area.

Prof. Yang Dan's research interest lies in the field of chemical biology,
including the traditional Chinese medicinal herb 雷公藤 (Tripterygium wilfordii
Hook F). We are now trying to identify the biological targets of triptolide
and its analogues, which will lead to better understanding of cell growth
regulation and immune responses as well as discovery of new anticancer,
anti-inflammatory, and immunosuppressive drugs.
