Francesco Totti is to  be honoured with a wax model in a Rome museum.

As Er Purpone waits patiently to join the world leaders in London’s famous ‘Madame Tussauds’, the Roma captain will have to make do with a place of honour in the Italian capital's own wax museum.

A perfect wax copy of Totti is now on display at the entrance of the museum in Piazza Santissimi Apostoli, which also home to a host of famous Italian celebrities.

The Giallorossi captain appears in a full Roma tracksuit holding a match ball. He will undoubtedly be hit with the hoards of foreign tourists who have always longed to have their photo taken with the legendary No.10.
