Nexperia was a failing business, Wingtech bought the company, Chinese banks granted it low interest loans, and in eight years after the owner shuffle, Nexperia becomes the third chip maker for vehicle use, and a hugely profitable business.
And now the Dutch finds it a national security issue, give me a break, security my ass.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what the Netherlands did wasn't even nationalization, but literal theft. They didn't buy the company (at market price), they just decided it was no longer under the control of the owner.
I find it fucking hilarious that the Chinese part of the company is just saying F off to the european HQ. ?
Go CHINA GO ! (I'm European and learning chinese)

Worst part is China bought the former Dutch company which was failing losing money, then turned into a profitable biz. Now the Dutch just seized it and kicked the owner out. What a shame ?????

1. China bought the company when it was bankrupt, now it's profitable under new management
2. at least Dutch government should buy the company, not just take it over

So the Chinese bought the Dutch company back in 2018/19, funded its expansion, researches and consolidation with its global manufacturing successfully to the scale where it is today. When there is no sign of interruption to supply and the company is growing healthily, how on earth the stupid Dutch government using a piece of 50 years’ old law to steal the company? The Dutch is giving very good reasons why western countries can’t be trusted, and why China wants to sanction these countries on REE.
