Group Overview
The Theory group aims at advancing the understanding of the foundation of computer science and collaborating with other groups in Microsoft Research and Microsoft product division to solve challenging algorithmic and analytical problems. With Turing Award winner, Professor Andrew C. Yao as the Chief Advisor, the theory group is building strong connections with the academic community in China and abroad to work together on fundamental problems in theoretical computer science.

We are seeking highly motivated graduate students to join the Theory group as interns working on exciting areas in theoretical computer science. The students should be in his or her graduate program studying in areas related to theoretical computer science, such as algorithms and complexity theory, theory of distributed computing, theory of programming languages, game theory, mathematics and statistics, etc. The students should demonstrate solid training in theoretical computer science and/or mathematics. A good publication record is a plus.
