Group Overview
The goal of Web Search & Data Mining Group of MSR Asia is to drive the next generation of Web search by leveraging data mining, machine learning, and knowledge discovery techniques for information analysis, organization, retrieval, and visualization.
We are creating a large-scale experimental Web search platform that can efficiently store, parse, index, and search billions of Web pages and other types of documents. The search platform is flexible enough to allow for testing of various state-of-the-art search techniques that have been created at the lab using new technologies.

Required Qualifications
If you are
1. Familiar with data mining or information retrieval
2. Good coding capability (C/C++).
3. Having the following backgrounds (one of them) is a big plus:
 Distribution system, machine learning, natural language processing
4. More than 6 months full-time with Supervisor’s permission
5. Good communication skill, patient and easy to get along with
