Tasks:
* Assist programme staff with logistic arrangements, such as booking tickets, making payments and filling out travel documents and forms.
* Contact project partners by telephone and email.
* Drafting and translating English/Chinese documents for project implementation
* Translation for international programme staff at conferences.
Duration:
Minimum 4 months (from end of May till September 2007)
Academic qualifications and fields of interest:
Internships are exclusively reserved for students pursuing a graduate or postgraduate degree programme.
As graduate or post-graduate students, you must have already completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and be completing at least a Master’s degree at the time of application. Degree in the fields of English, social science, or administration is preferred.
As the internship programme is not connected with the recruitment process, the granting of an internship should not be interpreted in any way as a preliminary step towards employment at the Secretariat.
Language:
Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English and Chinese.
Computer skills: Ability to use office-related software (MS Office)
Allowance:
50/yuan per working day
