The Solaris Kernel Networking Team is working on new innovative features that will enable virtualizing the Solaris networking stack. We are looking for enthusiastic college grad who loves to work on cool projects and is good at:
- Coming up with new ideas for new networking features
- Prototyping, designing, specifying and implementing innovative software features as part of the Solaris Core Technology group
- Participating in code reviews


You will be working directly as part of the global networking engineering team located in Sun's headquarter in the United States and Beijing.

Technical skills required:  
- C programming
- Solid understanding of network concepts through socket programming or other TCP/IP experience
- Administration of network services, e.g. DHCP, routing, naming, IPsec, VoIP

Preferred technical skills:  
- System management experience
- C++, Java, Shell scripting
- Experience with Solaris, Linux or other Unix version
              
Additional requirements:  
- Familiar with software development processes and best practices
- Advocate for high-quality software to serve Sun customers' interests
- Proficient in both conversational and written English
- Good communication skills and ability to work remotely
- Ability to work independently
- Basic project management skills
