Zanetti: "A big sign for all of us"

LONDON - Inter captain Javier Zanetti spoke proudly of his team's performance at Stamford Bridge. "Inter gave an important sign tonight," he said. "We all played a great match with lots of personality against a great team like Chelsea. We were here to win tonight. We hope this is a big sign. Beating a great team like Ancelotti's is no small feat. We opposed our opponents with great personality."

Inter's victory over Chelsea came thanks to the support that José Mourinho always gives to his players, leading them to success. "He helps us win, his support and experience is important, as is the work the whole group does with him," said Zanetti.

The Nerazzurri beat Chelsea without Mario Balotelli, but for the captain every player is important: "We need Mario and everyone else. If he saw the match tonight he will understand how important he can be for us. His exclusion was mainly a technical decision by the boss, who explained it to us players."
