Inter transfer consultant, Marco Branca, insists that Jose Mourinho will not be signing any strikers and thus he has closed the door on both Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o moving to San Siro.
Mourinho was unveiled to the press on Tuesday morning as he begins his new adventure with the Nerazzurri.
Reports in Italy claimed the former Porto coach would be getting rid of certain players to make room for some of his former Chelsea players to come in.
However, Branca admits that the Nerazzurri will not be buying a striker and so they have closed the door on Samuel Eto’o as well as Didier Drogba who have constantly been linked with a move to San Siro.
“Mourinho has not asked for any strikers,” said Branca.
“Those coming in will only be a few because we already have a great side.
“He has not asked us for any major signings and so it will be perhaps just two or three players.
“I think it will be better to for him to have everyone ready for the squad re-union.”
The advisor also confirmed that Inter will not be selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Christian Chivu and Mario Balotelli.
“If any one asks for these three players then we will tell them that they are not for sale,” said Branca.
The Nerazzurri will be hoping to achieve European glory next season and there is speculation that the ‘Special One’ will be keen on landing Frank Lampard from Chelsea as he tries to put together a strong enough squad which will all but gurantee him success on the European stage.
