Jose Mourinho intends to rip up the traditions of Italian coaching when he gets to work at Inter Milan.
Gazzetta dello Sport says the former Chelsea boss intends to introduce a raft of new methods never seen before in Italian football. He confided to friends: "It will be nice from the first day of training: playing and working tactically, less gym, less travel, less monotonous stuff. I want to change the traditional method of preseason training."
Mourinho is already taking Italian lessons and has hopes of conducting his first media conference as Inter coach in the native language.
The Portuguese will sign a three-year deal worth £6 million-a-year, with the option for another 12 months. He wants to bring in his own backroom staff, many of whom worked with him at Chelsea. However, the assistant coaching position is still not decided. Beppe Baresi has been mentioned.
