Inter striker Hernan Crespo has hailed Jose Mourinho's arrival and he believes that the Portuguese coach is the right man for the job.
The former Chelsea tactician will take the reigns for the next three years and his first task will be obtaining Champions League glory.
Crespo played under Mourinho when they were together at Chelsea and the Argentine hit-man insists that Inter and the new coach are a perfect match.
"When I was at Chelsea I used to think that Inter was the right team for him," Crespo told RomaNews.
"Mourinho does things the right way and he always explains the situation. He has respect for players and people."
Crespo also admits that he is not worried if Mourinho keeps him on the bench, which may seem likely given the Nerazzurri's vast array of striking talent.
"Just because I know him, it doesn't mean that my place in the team is guaranteed," said the forward.
"In a great team there are always great players and for me it's not a problem if I sit on the bench or if I play on the pitch.
"As for Mancini's sacking, I was not surprised but I could never have imagined it before the Liverpool game.
"I never complained to him, I just wanted a little more space, that's all.
"I want to thank him as he opened the doors for my return to Italy. I will always respect him for this."
Crespo is currently on loan at Inter from Chelsea and he will be hoping his old coach gives him a chance to return to his best next season.
