Inter Milan Plan Swoop For Schalke 04 Defender Rafinha - Report
Inter Milan have joined the race for Schalke 04 right-back Rafinha, news daily Corriere dello Sport suggests.
The Serie A champions have been scouring the market for a new right-sided defender as Maicon is expected to leave for Real Madrid after the World Cup.
Rafinha, who has been with Schalke since 2005, has been tipped to leave the club because his contract runs out next summer and the Konigsblauen want to cash in on him.
Schalke have reportedly set a 10 millon price-tag on Rafinha, which would not be a problem for Inter as they expect to generate three times as much with Maicon's sale.
However, Inter coach Rafael Benitez will have to fend off interest from Barcelona in Rafinha as the Catalan club have identified the 24-year-old as cover for Daniel Alves.
