BARCELONA - As an ex-Barcelona player, Thiago Motta knows exactly what kind of atmosphere to expect at the Camp Nou. "We won't let ourselves be affected by it," said the Brazilian midfielder. "We are calm and we are here to play our game. We will do what we did at San Siro, but it will obviously be a different match tomorrow.
"We will play a clean game. I follow Barcelona on TV and I see players who dive but it's important to help the referee and go on the pitch in cold blood to do everything to make sure it's a fair game. I don't want to raise the tone because I respect Barcelona.
"We know it's a different game. They are strong, they play well, but so do we. We will give everything to reach the final. And personally I will do everything to do well, like in the first leg.
"They will certainly want to win, but we want to reach the final and we can do it with merit. They are used to playing quickly, to looking for spaces, and we will have to make sure they don't find them. Playing at home is always important, but we are eleven men against another eleven men who will do everything to reach the final. And we will give our all."
Responding to the declarations of Barcelona's Piquè, who said he wants to make the Inter players hate football, Thiago Motta said: "As far as I'm concerned, I will never hate football."
