MILAN - A beaming Massimo Moratti spoke to Inter Channel after watching his team defeat Barcelona 3-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
"My compliments first of all to a smashing crowd that supported the team throughout, and then, obviously to the team, which was fantastic, very strong, solid, with great personality, pride and courage," said the Inter president. "They were formidable.
"For how we played we could even have scored more goals. I am very proud, proud of the players and the coach, a very intelligent coach. I am proud of them because we won against a team that everybody said was unbeatable. The mentality that Mourinho has succeeded in giving the team is that you have to earn the results.
"Now we are thinking about the championship though, and I heard the boys say tonight that they want to do everything to win the championship. We will try to win as much as possible."
