Roma's search for a striker may take them in the direction of Inter's David Suazo, according to Goal.com Italia.
The Honduras international has been used sparingly by coach Jose Mourinho since returning from a loan spell at Benfica this summer, only making a handful of substitute appearances.
Roma are looking to increase their attacking options as Francesco Totti has been injury-prone while Mirko Vucinic, Julio Baptista, and Jeremy Menez have failed to produce on a consistent basis.
The Giallorossi have been linked with the likes of Adriano, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Luca Toni, and Nikola Zigic, but they all appear to be too expensive for the club. A loan offer for Suazo, with an option to buy at the end of the season, might be more feasible.
The two clubs already did some business earlier this season as Nicolas Burdisso joined the capital side on loan and looks likely to make his deal permanent.
The 30-year-old was reportedly close to joining Roma in 2007 before being snapped up by the Nerazzurri.
