标  题: Inter's Materazzi Extends Deal Until 2012

Inter defender Marco Materazzi has signed a new deal with the Nerazzurri which will tie him to the club until 2012, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The report suggests Materazzi has already put pen to paper as his original deal with the club was set to expire in 2010. Although Inter have not announced the move as official, Sky Italia seem convinced that the defender will stay on.

The move is likely to come as a surprise as the stopper has been linked with a move away from the San Siro. Materazzi has been used a fringe player by coach Jose Mourinho, making limited appearances over the course of the season.

However, it seems as if the stopper will be staying on after all following the latest developments in Milan. Inter are expected to make the renewal official later today.

Meanwhile, Inter star Hernan Crespo is about to complete his move to Genoa after being released by the club. The Argentinean is in Genoa undergoing a medical.
