A learnings theory (possibly named learning pyramid) shows: when you sitting in a classroom hear what the teacher is explaining, the ratio you gain knowledge by is only 50%. but what if the teacher said it’s your turn to explain to students in the classroom, you have to try to understand what you will teach. In this situation the ratio is about 90%. The more you are engaged ,the better you learn. if you can, why not do listening talking reading simultaneously.as to the input theory of Mr. 克拉申, 10 years ago reading many English books may be a good choice, but nowadays I prefer watch some English videos on YouTube, and repeat every sentence as possible as I can, if there is no one we can talk to.
