Literacy:
We learned, or reviewed, the -ed ending that makes verbs past tense. Example: jump vs. jumped. -ed can be pronounced in three different ways depending on the sound that comes before. We also introduced and practiced some common irregular past tense verbs such as go becomes went, see becomes saw, and eat becomes ate. This helped students understand that not all past tense verbs follow the ed pattern.
