1道是这样的广泛啊，可左可右无所不在。2功业成就了，事业做成了，道也不会去占有。万物都来归附，道也不会做它们的主宰。3这是因为道从来都没有自己的私欲，可以说很低微了。万物都来归附而不做它们的主宰，又可以说是很伟大了。4所以圣人能够成就伟大，是因为从来都没有追求成就伟大，因而最终能成就其伟大。
