永恒主阿，你为什么站在远处？我在患难时你为什么掩面不顾呢？由于骄横、恶人把困苦人追得火急；愿他们在自己设的计谋里被捉住。
恶人以其心的贪欲而夸口；贪得盗取的人、谤讟（同词：祝福）而藐视永恒主。恶人面带骄气、不寻求永恒主；他一切想法都没有上帝。你判断之高超、不在他眼里；他所行的往往强硬而固执；对一切敌人、他只喷之以气。他心里说：“我必不动摇，必世世代代不遭患难。”
他满口是咒诅、诡诈和欺凌；他的舌底是毒害和奸恶。他在村庄里埋伏和等候着；他在藏匿处杀害无辜的人。他的眼潜伏窥看穷而无告者；他埋伏于藏匿处，如狮子于丛薮中；他埋伏要掳拿困苦人；手拉困苦人入网，就把他掳去。
穷而无告者受欺压，低头屈服，倒于他的暴力之下。他心里说：“上帝忘了；他掩了面，永不看了。”永恒主阿，求你起来；上帝阿，求你举手；别忘了困苦人。（圣经.诗篇10章）

Lord, why do you stay so far away?
Why do you hide from people in time of trouble?
The wicked are proud and make evil plans
to hurt the poor, who are caught and made to suffer.
Those greedy people brag about the things they want to get.
They curse the Lord and show they hate him.
The wicked are too proud to ask God for advice.
He does not fit into their plans.
They succeed in everything they do.
They don’t understand how you can judge them.
They make fun of their enemies.
They think that bad things will never happen to them.
They say to themselves,
“We will have our fun and never be punished.”
They are always cursing, lying,
and planning evil things to do.
They hide just outside the villages,
waiting to kill innocent people.
They are always looking for any helpless person they can hurt.
They are like lions hiding in the bushes
to catch weak and helpless animals.
They lay their traps for the poor,
who are caught in their nets.
Again and again they hurt people
who are already weak and suffering.
So the poor begin to think,
“God has forgotten us.
He has turned away from us forever.
He does not see what is happening to us.”
Lord, get up and do something.
Punish those who are wicked, O God.
Don’t forget those who are poor and helpless.
